The case is brand new (cost $110)

This is a custom banjo I assembled from a vintage Paramount Pot & Tone ring (worth USD$800).

J Albert & Sons

J Albert & Sons were Australian importers of musical instruments.
This banjo from around 1930s – 1940s would have been their “top of the range” 5 string.
Its quality & sound is equivalent to a Gibson & it’s in mainly original condition.
It has an unique tone ring (pictured) which produces a fantastic tone.
In over 50yrs of banjo collecting this is the first one I’ve see.
LOVE IT OR RETURN IT IN 30 DAYS FOR A FULL REFUND (excluding postage).

4 String Tenor conversion Circa 1930
This is one of my experimental conversions, & it worked very well.
This was my banjo of choice for around 6 months.
It's particulary suitable if you prefer a short neck banjo (I do) 19 fret.
This is the prefered neck length for most Clawhammer/Frailing players.
With a new goat skin head (vellum) & Aquila strings its sound is ideal for Clawhammer
I'm selling it at under my cost price to see if there's a market for tenor conversions.
The capo (behind the bridge isn't included).
No case
AUD$350
SS Stewart Circa 1880
This is the best Stewart I've heard in nearly 50 years of collecting & restoring/building banjos.
It sounds fabulous for Clawhammer or Bluegrass
All banjo players would love this banjo, no matter what style they play.
It's in wonderful condition, it’s been stripped down, adjusted as necessary & setup
I’m selling it so it can go to a home where it can be played & enjoyed
(I’ve had it in my personal collection for about 5 years).
One for the serious player or collector.
